Independent ventures

I build practical solutions to real business problems.

Building businesses around problems worth solving.

See What I’m Building

After nearly three decades solving complex technology, operational, and transformation challenges, I’m applying that experience to ventures of my own—finding meaningful problems, building practical solutions, and determining whether they can create lasting value.

What I’m Building

Start with a real problem.

Every business should have a reason to exist.

For me, that starts with finding a meaningful problem, understanding it well, and building a practical solution around it.

Business Process Assessment

Active venture

Where is your business losing time, capacity, or money?

Growing businesses often accumulate manual work, broken handoffs, disconnected information, and technology that isn’t being used to its full potential.

Explore the Assessment

This venture is built around a simple premise: uncover where that friction exists, understand what is causing it, and identify the improvements that can create meaningful business value.

The answer isn’t automatically new technology or AI. Sometimes the best solution is a simpler process. Sometimes it’s better use of what already exists. And sometimes automation or new technology can create meaningful leverage.

Experience

Experience is the foundation.
Building is what comes next.

Before building businesses of my own, I spent nearly three decades working across technology, operations, business transformation, and process improvement at enterprise scale.

Different industries. Different problems. Different technologies.

The discipline remained remarkably consistent: understand what is getting in the way, determine what should change, execute, and measure the result.

How I Think

The problem comes first.

Technology is a tool. So is automation. So is AI.
None of them should be the starting point.

The starting point is understanding what is actually happening, why it is happening, and whether solving it will create enough value to matter.

01

Understand

Find the real problem.

Look beyond symptoms to understand the work, the people involved, the constraints, and what is actually creating friction.

02

Simplify

Remove what doesn’t need to be there.

Eliminate unnecessary steps and complexity before adding another process, system, or technology.

03

Solve

Use the intervention that fits the problem.

That might mean changing a process, using existing technology better, automating repetitive work, creating a service, or building something entirely new.

04

Measure

Find out whether it actually worked.

A solution matters only if it creates a meaningful result.

Understand. Simplify. Solve. Measure.

That discipline shaped the work I did throughout my career.
Now it shapes the businesses I build.

About Charles

I’m Charles Snell.

For nearly three decades, my work has put me at the intersection of business, technology, operations, and transformation.

I’ve led large initiatives, worked through difficult operational problems, redesigned processes, implemented technology, and helped organizations turn ambitious ideas into measurable results.

Along the way, I learned that the hardest part usually isn’t the technology.

It’s understanding the problem well enough to know what should change.

That realization increasingly shapes what I want to build next.

Rather than starting with a particular technology, product category, or trend, I start with problems—particularly the kinds of problems where better processes, thoughtful use of technology, or an entirely new solution could create meaningful value.

I’m now putting that approach to work building businesses of my own.

Some ideas will prove themselves. Others won’t.
That’s part of building.

The objective is simple: find problems worth solving and build solutions worth paying for.
